Vaspin (Serpin A12) is a protein of 394 amino acids and could be a link between endocrine and inflammatory processes which are involved in atherosclerosis and diabetes. First results of basic research demonstrated that vaspin might inhibit the TNF-α induced adhesion of monocytes to smooth muscle cells and also inhibits the TNF-α induced intracellular signalling.
Mediagnost offers a sensitive and reliable enzyme-linked immunoassay for the quantitative measurement of vaspin. An overview of major assay characteristics is given in the table below. More detailed information is available in the package insert and for special requirements or questions please contact us directly by email or phone.
